Hi Everybody,

Most of you know that I was at the BC Crop for Kids this past weekend, and as usual it was a lot of Fun! The classes were all completely different offering something for everyone, but it was the Make-and-Takes that really inspired me! I made a necklace using a metal Washer and Glossy Accents and a Card with the Kee-utest pair of Owls using a new Stampin’ Up punch (which I HAD to order!) I watched the ladies make a multitude of cute tags, and LoveBug Scrapbooking did an adorable mini album that showcased this crazy adhesive melting gem attaching tool, and the prettiest shimmer paint you ever saw! I also got to play with a punch by Creative Memories that has 2 shapes in one, a scallop circle, and then flip the switch and you have an eyelet scallop circle! Gosh, you’d think I don’t get out much! And those were only the make-and-takes I actually saw! There were tons more when I was off teaching classes, it was amazing!

But really, the best part of the weekend was when Andrew, Ella and I got to go to Laity Pumpkin Patch on Sunday to celebrate our anniversary (Thank you to everyone who sent us your best wishes!). Pam and Mary, you were SO right, we had a great time, Ella loved it and I got some awesome pictures, to scrapbook using the kits I got from the Crop! Can’t wait to get home tonight to work on the “Fun with Fabrics” layouts, I was so envious watching Chriss, Lori and Erica enjoying the class, sigh, one day I’ll make sure I set aside the time to actually TAKE a class instead of just the Kit! And speaking of classes, a lot of our upcoming ones are either sold out or almost full, so be sure to call us if you were interested in any. I’ve marked the times that are close to filling up!

New in Stock
~ Pink Cat Studio Stamps ~ a whole pile of Christmas, Halloween, and 3 brand new ones that were released this week!

Ella’s Antics
I think everyone knows that I have a special relationship with Tim Horton’s.  He makes an Ice Cappuccino that I simply can’t stay away from!

Last week, Ella and I stopped in at Tim’s to grab my customary “Breakfast on the Go” and as Ella jumped out of the car, she stopped to grab 2 pennies from her stash of treasures in the car door handle.

When we made it up to the front of the line, I placed the order, an Ice Cap for me, a Chocolate Milk for her, and started to hand the Clerk my Debit card.  Ella cried “No Mommy!” and slapped her 2 pennies down on the counter, pushing them towards the Register.

“Oh, Honey” I said, “You keep your money, I’ll pay for this” and she stubbornly replied…

“No, mommy, MY Treat.”

And with that
Stamp yourself Silly,
Adhere with Abandon,
And every once in awhile, let someone treat you to your favorite obsession!

Have a Happy Thanksgiving!

Hi Everybody,

I’m Ba-ack!  And I have A LOT of things to tell you!  I’ll try not to go on and on about how awesome our cruise was, the weather couldn’t have been more perfect (in fact I heard we had it better in Alaska than you guys had it here!), and I won’t go on about how excellent the classes were, how Diana Crick (inventor of the Score-pal) gave away a whole pile of free stuff, how Celina and Gail packed more techniques into 2 hours than I ever would have thought possible, and I surely won’t tell you about the standing ovation I got after my second class.  I also won’t tell you about the fantastic deals we got in town on Jewelry, clothing and an Eskimo Doll for Ella.  And I definitely won’t tell you about Caryl and Shari’s Float plane trip, the whole gangs ride on the Skagway Train, the Aurora borealis, or the Glaciers, sigh, it just wouldn’t be fair, right? Tee hee, sorry but I just can’t help myself, it was an experience that I will never forget, and all the ladies that attended agree this is something that we should do again!  I’ll keep you posted on that development…

Cruisin’ To Alaska

Posted under Cruise Info by , 22 September, 2010, No Comment

I know it’s been awhile since I posted, but I’ve been really focused on ensuring that our first Card-Makers Cruise to Alaska was a success, and now that I’ve returned I can honestly say that it went better than I could have ever imagined!

The weather couldn’t have been better, the sun shone the entire time and I only need my winter coat when we were up at 7am checking out the Glaciers!

I’m working on getting a few pics posted under the “Alaska Cruise” header above, but be patient with me.

I’m definitely hoping to do this again next year, so keep your eye peeled for announcents of 2011 dates…

Hi Everybody,

I know, I know, I missed the newsletter last week, the holidays always throw me off, and I made the added mistake of taking TUESDAY off as well, so I could go to the aquarium with some family visiting from Alberta, and well, I feel like I lost half a week!

Anyway, we’re getting back on track, class samples are being added daily to the display in the store, and I’m hoping to get the pics up on the website this week (though I’m sneaking away again for a little bit, so go easy on me if they don’t get posted until Friday!)

I would like to say though, that our classes are starting to sell out, so if you are thinking about taking a specific one, you may want to reserve your space.  We’ve had a few people disappointed that they couldn’t take the time slot they wanted.  We also have a couple of Kids classes next week that are sold out, and I’ve been told that the projects are so cute that Andrew thought they were adult classes!  I told you I’m not good at simplifying!  Just ‘cause it’s advertised as a kids class, doesn’t mean we don’t constantly get Adults joining us, right Lara, Roberta, Dee? tee hee.

Anyway, I’m working on September’s projects and I’m really excited to get those samples out for you to see as well!  And don’t worry, we’ll be doing a class with the New SpellBinder Dies, Yes, we’ll be playing with Paste again, and if you think my Tombow Butterflies were gorgeous, Just you wait…
